Reasons To Rent A Studio Apartment

by Andre George

A studio apartment only has one room. The bedroom, living room, and kitchen are all combined into one small living space. They also usually have a private bathroom as well.

A studio apartment is more similar to a hotel suite than a traditional one-bedroom apartment. This may seem like a negative thing, but there are many benefits to renting one.

Cheapest apartment option

A studio apartment is the cheapest rental option available unless you're going to rent an individual room. This makes it a great alternative for people who are searching for a one-bedroom apartment but can't find one they can afford.

Due to their lower price point, a studio apartment can be great for someone who is trying to save money, or simply can afford a larger space. You can also save on utilities because it's cheaper to heat or cool a smaller area. A studio apartment is more likely to include utilities as well.

Stay in an expensive city without roommates

When you're looking for a place to live in an expensive city, you sometimes end up having to get a place that you share with roommates (due to high rent prices). Instead, you could rent a studio apartment and have the entire place to yourself. Most of them are also large enough for you to share them with one other person, such as your significant other or a close friend.

Renting a traditional apartment in an expensive city simply isn't possible for many people. Choosing to rent a studio apartment is a great way to live right in the center of all the action, or close enough to your school or work, without going broke.

You won't be hosting guests anyway

If you have no plans of hosting guests at your apartment, it won't matter as much that all of your living space is in one room. In fact, if you prefer to not have guests at your place, it's a great excuse to not feel obligated to invite anybody over.

You prefer less living space

More and more people today are trying to live a minimalist lifestyle. Having lots of possessions and living in an unnecessarily large home is no longer as desirable as it was in the past. If you fit into this category, a studio apartment would be a great option for you.

Additional benefits

Another reason someone might choose to rent a studio apartment is the other benefits that are included by the building or complex. For example, they might have things such as a pool, fitness center, great views, a balcony in their apartments, etc. If you can't afford anything bigger than a studio apartment, it might still be worth it to have these extras.
